How does it work with the additional celebration of life party on the Paddle wheel boat?
Let’s say your burial at sea service was from 9:00 am – 11:00 am. Then your celebration of life party could be from 12:00 pm till 3:00 pm. Upon return to the dock aboard the Mariner you can walk your guests over to the next dock and board the Navesink Queen. Some of your other “set up” guests may have already arrived to help get the boat ready. There will be another crew on the boat to meet your “set up” guests and the caterer. At about 11:40 am we would begin to board the rest of your guests and plan to set sail at 12 noon.
Can we have the celebration of life trip on the Mariner?
Yes, you may. If available, We would simply turn your 2-hour burial at sea trip into a 3- or 4-hour trip with a cruise up the rivers after the burial. Catering can be arranged. You can run a drinks tab for your guests or have them pay cash.
Can we just have a celebration of life cruise with no burial at sea?
Yes, you can charter either the Mariner or the Navesink Queen for a celebration of life event.
Can we fish off the boat?
We don’t really offer fishing but if your loved one had a passion for fishing you are welcome to bring one fishing pole for ceremony and try your hand at catching. Be sure to bring GULPS or other synthetic baits. We might be able to sneak in one drift and catch a fluke. Catch and release or take home in your own cooler (legal size) and fillet at home.
